Museum-Quality 19th Century Chinese Porcelain Figures (Pair) – Hand-Carved, Exquisite Detail, Provenance from 1800s Estate
This magnificent pair of hand-carved Chinese porcelain figures dates to the mid-19th century and was originally acquired in China by my great-great-grandparents, who lived extensively throughout East Asia. These rare and masterfully detailed figures have remained in my family for generations—an heirloom set of true museum quality.
Crafted with remarkable precision, the robes are adorned with deeply incised patterns, ceremonial staffs, and expressive faces beneath traditional Chinese hats. Though they have the appearance and weight of carved ivory, these are solid porcelain—luxurious in hand and visually stunning. They rest atop their original hardwood bases and carry a weight and presence befitting serious collectors and curators.
