Handmade Copper Silk Dress – One of a Kind This stunning 30-inch copper silk dress was custom-made for me by a former Chanel designer in the early 2000s. After leaving Chanel, she opened her own bout
This stunning 30-inch copper shantung silk dress was custom-made for me by a former Chanel designer in the early 2000s. After leaving Chanel, she opened her own boutique fabric business in New Orleans, where she continued creating extraordinary pieces for a small number of clients. Tragically, her entire warehouse was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina—but her talent lives on in pieces like this
This dress was designed specifically for an Indian wedding and has only been worn once. The silk and satin fabric was sourced from Tajikistan, one of the world’s premier producers of fine silk. It features a fluid drape, rich shimmer, and impeccable craftsmanship. The color is a deep, radiant copper that photographs beautifully and flatters every skin tone.
It is unlabeled due to its custom nature but is a true couture creation—timeless, elegant, and unlike anything else on the market.
The silk scarf belonged to my great, great grandmother and hails from Siam! I will list that separately.
